The daughter of late video vixen cum socialite Agnes Masogange has revealed that she’s not going to go to a boarding school as proposed by well-wishers, who’re paying her school fees.
In an interview with a Tanzanian radio station, Sania Shaaban has made it clear that she that she will only attend day schools and not boarding schools, claiming that she doesn’t want to be separated from her aunt.
She claims her aunt raised her she can’t afford to stay far from her.
“Napenda kukaa nyumbani kwa sababu nitawamisi shangazi zangu, shangazi zangu wote nawapenda na sijawahi kukaa mbali nao”, she said.
On the other hand, her aunt seconded her and she said that they are used to Masogange’s daughter and taking her to a boarding school is not a good idea.
Agnes Masogange died on April 20 while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Dar es Salaam. She was later laid to rest at her father’s home in Mbeya province. According to Masogange’s father, Gerald Waya, his daughter was a form two drop out and as a result, she sought for a brighter future in the showbiz industry, where she became famous.
“MY DAUGHTER DITCHED SCHOOL IN FORM TWO BECAUSE OF PROBLEMS. THERE WAS A TIME WE HAD A VERY BIG FIGHT AND I TOLD HER I DON’T WANT HER IN THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY. SHE ASKED ME WHAT KIND OF JOB SHE COULD DO IF SHE WAS TO GET OUT OF SHOWBIZ. However, I ALLOWED HER TO PURSUE HER DREAM IN THE LONG RUN ALTHOUGH I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH IT AT ALL,” MR. GERALD SAID.
