Kambua is happily married to Mr Mathu and in a recent interview with Salon Magazine, she revealed why she fell in love with him. She said;

I FELL IN LOVE WITH HIM BECAUSE HE KNEW WHAT HE WANTED AND WENT FOR IT. CONTRARY TO WHAT MANY THINK, HE IS A BUSINESSMAN AND NOT A PASTOR. HE USUALLY MINISTERS AT HIS BROTHER’S CHURCH, EAGLE’S FAITH IN WESTLANDS. I AM ENJOYING MY MARRIAGE AND I LOOK FORWARD TO MANY HAPPY YEARS WITH HIM.
