'I contemplated suicide,' Ruth Matete's ex-bae Prince Tsyder shares tear-jerking past

They say all that glitters is not gold and we all agree to that. Prince Tsyder alias Toni from Tahidi High has revealed that he used to earn very little from the TV series and really struggled in life.

The actor-cum-gospel artiste, who acted in Tahidi High for 10 years during an interview with Dennis Mugo, he said,

'I struggled a lot used to earn Sh6,000.'

After welcoming a child with his wife and lost his job he sank into depression. He contemplated suicide.

'I worked in government for 4 years as a driver and used to earn Sh14,000. I used to drive lorries and people would say 'si huyu ni ule kijana alikuwa actor?' I was so hurt,' he said.

Adding,

'I was depressed and thought of killing myself where no one could find me.'

During the interview, OJ asked how he overcame depression, he said,

'I bought a dog and named it Rafiki. I've never gotten great love like that I get from my dog.'

He added,

'My kid never used to recognise me. The mother used to work and buy her things but for me, I had no money. My wife also didn't have time for me because I had nothing.'

On the other hand, OJ also admitted that he was depressed at some point and his son helped him overcome depression.

'My son erased my suicidal thoughts,' he said.
