Kenyans mourning former Miss World Nyamira Mercy Mokeira have come under attack from a social media user who has labelled them as hypocrites.

In a Facebook post, Darrel Gee said the same people who are now mourning her death are also the ones who refused to support her when she was still alive.

According to him, when Mokeira was woking her hard on her dreams and trying to make a name for herself in the modeling industry, all people did was to criticize her capabilities.

Despite all the hate, she soldiered on and went on to attain national recognition. She even bagged the Miss Heritage Kenya 2016 title.

At one time after visiting Lang'ata Women's Prison in the company of her Siaya counterpart Sharon Halima, the two were trolled on social media reason being the inmates were "more attractive" than them.

After her sudden passing on Saturday, January 28 at the hospital where she was receiving treatment, suddenly, everyone is good things about her.

In his post, Darrel said Kenyans are now referring to her as beautiful, vibrant, hardworking, lovely, the best person they ever met, yet they are the same people who called her ugly.
