Vera alishinda? Huddah Monroe reveals the reason she stopped competing with other socialites

Huddah knows a thing or two about competing. That is why she went to participate in Big Brother in 2013.

Even though her a** was bundled out as quickly as it came in it showed that she was up for a challenge.

The competition she found when she left the BBA was from other socialites, namely Vera Sidika and Corazon Kwamboka.

2013-2016 was a time when the two ladies took posted some of the most salacious content ever seen on Kenyan interwebs.

The goal was simple. Who could get the most attention, vis-a-vis the most money as eyeballs earn money.

But according to Huddah, that wasn't the reason. Taking to Instagram on Thursday, June 28, she had quit competing with others just so she could afford some peace and contentment in her otherwise flashy life.

She also spoke of how she had become content with who she was, finding happiness within.

Her sentiments came at a particularly interesting time as her one-time rival, Vera Sidika, launched her own beauty spot in Westlands this past Sunday.

Also coinciding with her post is that Huddah cancelled her own beauty event which was slated for June 30.

Again, the myth of the socialite. You ascend the heights of celebrity through the use of your body, then when your beauty starts to fade, history is re-written.

Your trade-craft is your body but what happens when it stops getting you the money it used to? You adapt and you change. As Huddah and Vera have so brilliantly done.
