The weekend flies so fast. A blink of an eye and boom! It's Monday, the day most people dread.

The thought of waking up early and getting to the office to work appears to be a very big task for you.

Monday is one of those days that you love your bed so dearly that you don't want to leave its side. You even set up to four alarms so that you actually wake up.

Mondays, however, do not have to be this way.Here are some tips you can use to deal with Monday blues;

1. Get enough sleep and wake up early

Go to bed a little early on Sunday night and make sure you get enough sleep so that you wake up feeling well-rested and ready to go.

In addition, waking up an extra 15 to 30 minutes early on Monday morning can actually make going back to the office easier.

Having a little more ‘me time’ instead of feeling like you're trapped in a time crunch can make that transition a little easier.

2. Dress up and show up

Use Monday as the day to wear your favourite new outfit.

Feeling good about yourself is half of the battle on Monday mornings. It gives you the confidence you need and its easier to face work that way

3. Plan ahead Sunday night

Choose the outfit you want to wear on Monday morning the night before and even pack a good lunch to eliminate any stress in the morning.

This will make Monday’s more tolerable since you are already prepared and ready to start the day.

Also, remember to re-set the alarm in order to wake up on time and avoid being late for work.

4. Take small breaks throughout the day

Don’t stay glued to your office desk all day.

Take a walk outside the office to get some fresh air and avoid eating lunch at your desk.

Leave the office and go out for lunch somewhere and if you have packed lunch, eat together with a friend or anywhere else apart from your desk.

4. Turn your morning into a party

Immediately your alarm goes off, turn your Monday morning into a party.

Play your favourite songs in rotation as you get ready to start your day and jam out.

In conclusion, Monday doesn't have to be the worst day of the week and if it has been for you, I hope some of these tips will help you.
