How the limelight affected child star Baha of Machachari

Tyler Mbaya popularly known as Baha of TV show Machachari has opened up about how fame and the glaring spotlight that comes with it affected him.

Speaking to Radio Jambo's Massawe Japanni, Baha said,

"It has affected me because I really live a public life. I have no choice. There is no other way. If I as to live away from the public life I would throw away my career."

He added,

"I'm an aspiring thespin with a lot of dreams for this industry. I joined it very young and I hadn't learned alot about it."

Asked if he quit acting, Baha explained he took a hiatus to take a journey of self discovery.

"I did not stop or quit acting. What I lacked was self development when I started out as child actor. I was living life on the prime time where everyone knew your business. Anyone who has been a child actor can relate to this."

He continued,

"You are a child you don't understand a lot of things. It hits you hard but since it is your life you have to step back and sort that out."

The fear of failure was something Baha had to deal with especially since his failures would be broadcast to all and sundry.

"The fact that I was a public figure that propelled me. It gave me a pkick to do better there were subjects in school like biology that I did not like but was forced to study and excel in. My passion and focus was in literature."

Baha finished his KCPE and scored a B+.
