Accidents in Kenya have really taken away a lot of citizens lives and now a veteran journalist, Geita Mwangi has passed away from the same.

Geita Mwangi succumbed to injuries after his vehicle rammed into a stationary lorry along Thika road on Thursday, Nov 26, evening.

Reports of his death were received with shock on social media platforms with people sending condolence messages to the family.

Geita was a distinguished print and electronic journalist who had worked for Nation newspaper, Radio Citizen and Voice of America (VOA) and other media houses.

Mwangi was also a dedicated businessman and a PR and Media consultant for the Ministry of Agriculture.

Victor Bwire, a journalist formerly at the Nation who worked with Mwangi mourned him saying:

Can't believe it. Ooh no...such a great, jovial and professionally generous bro. RIP

Another of his colleagues, Mburu Mwangi from Nation Group mourned

Oh, my God! Can't believe it! May his soul RIP!
