50 people have died and more injured in an early morning accident that occurred at on the Kisumu-Muhoroni highway at Fort Ternan area in Kericho County.

The Kakamega bound bus was heading to Kisumu from Nairobi when it veered off a flyover, rolling several times.

According to Fort Ternan OCS Charles Ocharo, the death toll could rise as more passengers are still trapped in the wreckage.

The ten survivors were rushed to Fort Ternan dispensary and Muhoroni Sub County Hospital, where they are still receiving treatment.
