The days of a thief are forty, so goes the saying but have you ever asked yourself what happens to them when they are finally caught in the act?

A video has surfaced on social media showing a burglar being burned alive and it is the kind that will definitely make you ponder over what you should do to thieves after catching them.

The damning footage was shared by renowned media personality Nick Odhiambo who said the incident took place in Utawala, Nairobi.

As the video begins, one man is heard telling the suspected thief to defend himself since the end was almost coming. While this is happening, a woman, yes a woman, is seen laying dry grass on the suspect before lighting it on fire.

His attempts to remove the burning grass from his body only earn him thorough beatings from some two men who also urge him to speak up before placing a tyre around his neck.

Nothing could stop the mob from commiting the heinous act, even his cries for help proved meaningless.

At some point, he breaks loose and it is still not clear whether the irate crowd succeded with what they wanted to do.
