A music industry pundit has revealed the reason why Flaqo's YouTube channel was deactivated.

In his long analysis that was posted on various social media outlets, they explain the process.

"There are two sides of the story and people should know that Kenyans cannot wake up early in the morning and decides to report all the popular celebrities youtube account to be deleted. Akothee, Mwana Mteule comedian, Rayvanny are a few that have been affected.

What do all these popular artists/celebs have in common? Most of them are managed by an aggregator called Ngomma VAS…The most ruthless non-apologetic company formed by Clemmo.(I am saying ruthless because they love reporting Copyright strike on youtube without even contacting the person)

Ngomma VAS is a company that manages artists youtube account and in return pays the money earned from their youtube accounts after deducting their fee. They also offer services like protecting their client’s videos ensuring no one posts their content without permission… Now hold that thought for a while…Now let’s go to Flaqo Raz story.

So Flaqo was releasing videos like 2 to 3 years ago before he was popular. Many of the popular youtube channels usually posted his content on youtube for their subscribers. Come 2020 when Flaqo Raz blew up his content was now being shared by everyone, his youtube channel now was getting more subscribers and views, money coming in from youtube to Advertisers.

With all this came a challenge. YouTube account was earning but not to the potential as many youtube accounts posted his content. Flaqo urged people to stop posting his content about 3 months ago, seems many didn’t get the memo as many youtube accounts posted his content still.

Remember Ngomma VAS …yes these guys manage Flaqo Raz youtube account…since Flaqo joined some weeks ago Ngomma VAS as their norm went to YouTube typed the word Flaqo and reported all youtube account posting Flaqo’s content.

The bad thing about this move is that YouTube accounts that posted Flaqo ras Content in 2 to 3 years ago suffered the same fate. Other accounts were at the mercy of a copyright strike for them to be terminated. What pains them is the channel that had over 50k,100k,200k were also getting the strike which they posted 2 years ago when Flaqo wasn’t even popular or had YouTube account.

Many of the reported accounts by Flaqo and Ngomma VAS messed many Kenyans growing youtube channel account status. Some used their Channel as a means of living.

If you own a youtube channel, you definitely know how it’s hard to get subscribers or viewers. Some of the accounts reported by Flaqo and Ngomma VAS could have contacted the owners on their social media accounts and email addresses and give them at least 24 hrs or 2 days before reporting it to youtube.

They chose the simpler way, reporting. Some channels remained with only 1 strike Channel they be terminated. Many were terminated and means they will never earn a single coin from youtube.

Tit for Tat is a fair game, they say. The channels that got a copyright strike ganged up with their friends and jointly reported Flaqo Ras youtube channel. When his account got 3 strikes it was then terminated.

I think people should have been contacted to remove his content instead of a copyright strike, many Kenyans don’t know about all this stuff about originally in content sharing on youtube. They think its like IG, Twitter or Facebook where you just post even if the content is not yours without crediting the owner."
