Davido is one of the most popular artists in the African entertainment scene and it’s no doubt that whoever is to continue his legacy when he retires has to match his talent. His recent signee is fast-rising singer Mayorkun from Nigeria.
The singer was born in Lagos, Nigeria on March 23rd, 1994. He finished his BSc. Accounting Degree at the University of Lagos in 2014. Having discovered his musical talent back in 2007. Since 2013, he has been recording, with hopes that he’ll shine someday.
In Feb this year, he uploaded a video of himself singing to Davido’s smash hit – ‘The Money’ featuring Olamide...this changed his life forever. The “Dami Duro” star invited him for a meeting and ended up signing him to Davido Music Worldwide label.
Mayorkun has released several hit songs, with “Eleko” hitting 1 million views on Youtube in just 10 days! This prompted Davido to express his surprise on Twitter. Well, the super talented guy will be coming to Kenya and you have a chance to party with him. He will be at XS Millionaires club this Saturday. He’ll also be performing “Yawa”, one of his masterpieces.
