Are you tired of boredom and want something new this easter? Then I have an idea for you. How about trying a Casino experience? As opposed to the public perception that those are areas for the rich, the bad boys and other loads of baseless theories, the culture in there is actually otherworldly.

The earliest recorded gaming in the Casino style was 2300 BC. The earliest known formal Casino to open is Casino di Venezia in Italy back in 1638. In Kenya, there are many cool Casinos and hang out joints but the best place where guys go to hang out is at Junction Mall, Sunrise Casino.

Mpasho recently did a piece on where Billionaire Richard Branson chills out when he visits the country and Sunrise can be easily a place to hang out.

The service at the restaurant is brilliant. The PR manager, Elle Ciiru, has an amazing way of treating the attendants. By being warm to them and rational, she gets the work done. I bet she;s the best manager one can work with in such a work setting.

One would expect her to shout but she doesn't. That's the same thing that Mary Barra, the CEO of General Motors worldwide did when she got to be the head of the company a little over a year ago. She even still has moments of anonymity – goes to shop for grocery at 'vibandas' and all. Elle is that simple but very functional.

For Karim, one of the directors, work done best is the way for him. He's different; he's diligent and always on the run. He makes sure everything at the Casino runs smoothly. He's calm and collected at most of the times but seemingly conscious of every single thing that goes on.

“It's always this crazy all night. I get to run this much,” Elle says, in the comfort of her bare feet. She's gotten rid of the high heels she was wearing. However, there's no need to worry about the cold and/or hard floor. The place has a lovely carpet all over. It's totally cozy. The lighting is optimal so you don't have to worry about seeing flashing lights on the road when you drive home in the late night or early morning.

“I almost fell down twice. I've tripped endlessly. The high heels are not doing me justice,” she jokes. I can see the love of her job in her eyes and how she feels obligated to see that her customers get the best experience. She's also the girl behind the success of Caramel Lounge's Happy Hour programme as she got consulted by the premium hang out joint. You can read about my experience there during the Nairobi Restaurant Week here.

The food bites were delicious. I honestly did not expect this but non the less, I had a good time. The juices and cocktails that Sunrise offers are just out of this world. There's an illuminated glass that comes with a milky cocktail. You can order for any freshly done fruit juice; from mangoes to oranges. The bar section has a wide array of drinks that you can think of.

:The last time I went there, there was radio presenter Talia Oyando and fashion blogger Sylvia Njoki. They looked happy and collected.

Below are photos of the place:
