A video has surfaced online showing why should never approach an overturned fuel tanker however much you are tempted to.

This comes just a few days after a canter rammed into several vehicles along the Naivasha - Nakuru Highway before bursting into flames.

It was reported that 42 people lost their lives in the accident while others sustained serious  injuries and are currently in hospital fighting for their lives .

In the video that was shared on social media, passers-by are seen trying to collect fuel from the overturned tanker before it catches fire.

Moments later people - who were presumably being burnt alive - are heard screaming for help.

If this is not enough reason not to approach an overturned fuel tanker, then I don't know what is.
