Ruth Mawia, the CEO at Koola Waters, a fast-rising water bottling company stands out for various reasons. She is humble, outgoing and passionate about community development. Having been featured on KTN's The Entrepreneur and Mpasho News, she is headed for greater heights. Her company was started to provide clean water to residents in Kitui County and now her company has grown to supply water in Nairobi and other towns in Kenya.

She was recently feted by her alma mater, Africa Nazarene University as the Alumni of the Year. This is a presitigous award by the institution which has produced some of the top Kenyan entrepreneurs.

"Today,I will share just a few photos of the alumni award ceremony that took place at Africa Nazarene University on 12th September 2015. I will be forever grateful to God,Africa Nazarene University and my family and all the support I received from everyone and everyone who took time to vote for me I am grateful.

This is not just an award, but for me it holds a lot of meaning: for me it means that if you work hard and glorify God and Serve His people you will be rewarded, secondly to inspire someone that all dreams come true, as long as you commit the dream to God and work towards it ( actually I have always dreamt of winning a school award) not because I am the best but just to inspire others that they can dream and their dreams can come true because there is nothing impossible with God.

I am sorry for the long post,but I felt inclined to share that. ‪#‎alumniaward‬ ‪#‎anualumini‬ ‪#‎koolawaters‬ ‪#‎anu‬"
