If you're a hang out person and you're into fashion  and like to go shopping then here's the plan for the next year. All of us always want to try out something new every coming year – this helps unwind from the previous year and find something better to hold on to. The Karen Hub opens in mid 2015 and will be located just 200 meters from the Karen round about. It is a departure from the mainstream malls as more than half of the amazing hub will be just green space; a spectacular man-made lake and nature trails.

Knight Frank is the official leasing agent for the 4 billion shillings mall – and says that the real estate industry is on the boom and that it wants to raise the bar of the quality of services offered in the malling culture. The mall is a brainchild of Azalea, an assortment of wealthy investors.

The mall, which will sit on a 20-acre piece of land will be the second largest, coming closely to the size of Garden City on Thika road.

​ "The Karen Hub is a two phase project, with the completion of phase one expected by the third quarter of 2015. The first phase will offer 35,000 square meters of gross leasable area on two levels of retail," the consortium said in a statement earlier this year.

The hub's access will not be a hurdle from the city centre. The property will provide public access via an organized transport fleet. The most exciting part is that their outdoor piazza (event centre) will offer a movie theater – under the stars! The next phase will be the completion of a 150-bed hotel and a conference facility by 2018. Will you be spending time there?
