You probably know that Citizen TV's Julie Gichuru used to model while in campus. She studied law but later decided to become a media personality. Yesterday, the former Loreto Convent student spent the day at the Nairobi Stock Exchange offices selling stock for charity.

Julie is a versatile woman who has tried a lot of stuff in her life. Between 2000 and 2002, she tried running a magazine business, which failed. She has been a judge for various youth empowerment competitions in Kenya, for example the World Bank blogging contest on poverty which took place earlier this year.

Having gotten a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Wales - the same university she studied law at - means that she could try her hand at being a full time investor in stock. What would make her a successful stock investor? She already has two totally different but successful businesses. A media production company and a fashion house.

This shows how Julie is sharp in decision making. Besides that, she has experience in interviewing and interacting with top world leaders in politics and business, thus, she can fully utilize her rich mental bank of knowledge to work for her in the stock realm.
