Tributes contribute to pour in as the world mourns legendary basketball star Kobe Bryant.

The 41-year-old on died in a Sunday morning crash alongside his daughter and seven others.

A few minutes to his death, Kobe had a chat with Shaquille O’Neal's son Shareef.

In the screenshot shared by the 20-year-old college basketball player, who is heartbroken with the sad news, Kobe asked, him; ‘You good fam?’.

Shareef responded saying,

Yeah. Just been getting this work in trying to figure out my next move. How you been?’

Shaquille O'Neal has paid tribute to the LA Lakers icon and his message read;

There’s no words to express the pain I’m going through with this tragedy of loosing [sic] my niece Gigi & my brother [Kobe Bryant]. I love u [sic] and u will be missed. My condolences goes [sic] out to the Bryant family and the families of the other passengers on board. I’m sick right now.

Shaq Kobe was so much more than an athlete, he was a family man. That was what we had most in common. We love our families. Whenever we got together I would hug his children like they were my own and he would embrace my kids like they were his. His baby girl Gianna was born on the same day as my youngest daughter Me’Arah. I miss you already brother. This is truly unbelievable. Everyone please keep the Bryant’s in your prayers.

Jlo Family. As I scrolled through Kobe’s feed, and Alex and I talk memories and moments we remember about him ... this is the truth that rings out the loudest ... family is what matters most.

We are all feeling sadness from this loss, but all I can think of is that it is a grain of sand compared to what Vanessa must going through right now.

I am sending all of my love and praying for you, your children and the other families involved in today’s tragic turn of events. The most unfair thing in life is to lose a child and husband on the same day. Vanessa, I pray for your strength and that God guides you each step of the way through this unimaginable heartbreak. To the other families who are suffering from this unthinkable tragedy, may God be with you all.
