Chief Justice David Maraga bid farewell to his role after serving in the Judiciary for his appointed term.

Today, at the special court session to mark the end of his term, Maraga thanked God for allowing him to serve judiciary for 18 years in different capacities.

“I want to start by thanking God almighty for an opportunity to serve people of Kenya and guidance he gave,” he said in his last speech.

He was accompanied by his family for the momentous occasion. His wife, Yucabeth Nyaboke and children, Emily Maraga, Emma Maraga and Moses Maraga were in court with him.
