Tributes of fallen sports hero Joe Kadenge continue flowing in at the Friends International Church, Nairobi where his requiem mass is being held.

Among the tributes is that of his wife Maria Kadenge.

It reads in part,

Today I bid farewell to my husband Joe Kadenge, a dearest loving and doting father and grandfather to our wonderful Children.

He loved and cared for them dearly and spent a lot of time with them.

Maria goes on to praise her late husband for teaching her what love is

He taught me unconditional love through the years, besides having a busy schedule with his sports career, which turned him into a football legend, with many interactions and associations from far and wide.

She added in her tribute,

He was a man who was full of life, a man who was a bigger star in his own right than most of us he was loved by many and shared his love right back.

He lived a humble life over the years and interacted both with the High and Mighty and mwananchi and loved them all equally besides being the football legend he was .

His love for the game never died out, he cared and was always Willing to help where he could...

I am grateful and thank God, that I had the opportunity to share life with him and our family all through the year's...

He has left behind wonderful memories of a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Brother, and Friend...

West's family will miss him dearly, he will always be in my heart, and the love that we have will always be cherished with fond memories...

May the Almighty God rest your Soul in Eternal Peace. Rest in Christ till we meet again.
