Weeks after hosting the who is who for a celebration at his palatial home, Ranalo Foods restaurant owner K’Osewe yesterday told a court he was shot four times by someone he had known for a long time.

William Osewe was testifying in a case in which Tom Mboya is charged with two counts of attempted murder in 2016.

“I had some issues with the accused and when he approached me, he whipped out a gun and shot me four times,” Osewe said.

Osewe appeared before magistrate Martha Mutuku. He said he unsuccessfully pleaded to have a conversation with Mboya. Osewe said he was shot in the right hand and chest. He said he was walking along Thika Road, when he was accosted by Mboya.

In the case Mboya is accused of attempted murder on December 1, 2016, at Garden Estate in Kasarani, Nairobi county.

He is alleged to have attempted to kill Osewe and Wilfred Tembula, a security guard.

Mboya is out on Sh300,000 bail.

Family sources claim that K'Osewe “has recovered but cannot walk for long due to the pain on his waist.”
