A revelation by Pastor Victor Kanyari that he will be seeking elective office in the August poll has caught many people, including some members of his church, by surprise.

Kanyari who was exposed Mohammed Ali for deceiving his flock with fake miracles is eyeing the Embakasi Central parliamentary seat in this year's General Elections.

The controversial preacher will battle it out with the current area MP John Ndirangu Kariuki among others for the coveted Jubilee Party ticket.

Kanyari says that he is very familiar with the challenges that the area residents face since he was brought up in Embakasi Central and had first church there.

He has asked his constituents to forget the scandals that he has been involved in and trust that he will bring the change that they need.
