Tanzanian President Benjamin Mkapa's state funeral service was held yesterday.

The service that was attended by various dignitaries among them President John Magufuli was televised across the East African nation.

This was hosted ahead of his burial set for today, July 29, 2020, at his rural home in Mtwara.

Bongo star Harmonize was listed among the performers at the state funeral.

Taking to the podium, he performed his hit single 'Ameen' that praised Mkapa's tenure.

He got emotional while performing the single and towards the end, he could not hold back his tears.

He covered his face and walked off stage as his tears rolled down his face, uncontrollably.
