Ha! I was informed about this and couldn't help chortling to myself. News just reaching us indicate that FKF boss Sam Nyamweya has been questioned by flying squad officers.

Nyamwaya presented himself for questioning in connection to the debacle the nation witnessed yesterday, surrounding our national football team. It is alleged that Sam Nyamweya was given money to cater for the national team and its needs as they headed to Cape Verde for the return match against their team having beaten them 1-0 in the first game.

Flying squad officers went to look for him at his house in Karen over the mix-up with Harambee Stars travel arrangements but did not find him. They called him and he said he would visit the DCI offices in Nairobi later on. At about 11 am, he drove himself to the Nairobi Area offices escorted by police, where he was grilled for hours.

The national team was left stranded at Wilson Airport for over eight hours after their trip to Cape Verde experienced a hitch after the owner of the chartered plane demanded payment before take-off.

And Kenyans have wasted no time in celebrating his questioning as they took to Twitter shortly after the story broke:

However, the football federation In a statement dispelled rumours that Nyamweya had been arrested, stating categorically that he had presented himself out of his own volition.
