Famous people always bow out and make statements. From outlandish burial practices to observing rituals that rise our eyebrows.

Here is a list of weird and unusual things that famous people have been buried with.

Whitney Houston

After Whitney's sudden death in a Hollywood hotel, the 48-year-old is said to have been given a stately send-off.

According to reports published following her death at age 48, not only was the singer interred in a “gold-lined coffin worth tens of thousands of [British] pounds,” but Whitney was also buried “wearing up to £300,000 (Ksh 30m) of jewels and designer clothes.” As of late February 2018, that’s equivalent to roughly $419,000 (Ksh 41.9m).

Michael Jackson

In addition to farewell notes written by his three children after the iconic pop singer’s death on June 25, 2009, Jackson was also buried with a single white sparkly glove — from his Thriller music video dated back in the 1980s.

Ancient Chinese Kings

Back in the 206 BC the king of ancient China would be buried with their toilets.

The burial chamber also included a bathroom together with a stone toilet

President John F. Kennedy

After the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963, the 45-year-old was buried with various things.

They include a 30-centimeter whale tooth that Denver's artist and mayor Milton DeLano had carved out the presidential emblem in the 19th century.

Kennedy collected teeth, especially from whales that had been hunted by New England.

Kennedy's tomb also contained letters from the president’s wife, Jackie, and his two sons, gold buttons and a tie-snap.

Frank Sinatra

The singer, actor and eternal chauffeur Frank Sinatra died at the age of 82 from a heart attack.

He was dressed in blue suits and in the coffin were symbolic items for his life.

This includes a pack of Camel cigarettes, a Zippo lighter, his favorite caramel and mint, a teddy bear, dog biscuits and a bottle of Jack Daniel's Whiskey.

Jack Daniels has since used Sinatra in his advertising and even produced a special brand, Sinatra Select.

Bob Marley

Jamaican icon Bob Marley died of cancer aged 36.

His body was flown home to the Caribbean island of Jamaica and buried near his birthplace, Nine Mile.

Many people know that Marley was buried with his guitar, Les Paul. But there were more things added to the tomb at his own request.

There were footballs, one ion of cannabis, the Bible and a ring he received as a gift from Prince Ethiopia.
