Award-winning Gospel singer Bahati has proven to be the best artiste around. Although this year was full of ups and downs, Bahati continues to win the hearts of many both locally and internationally. This year we saw the humble, kind and down to earth singer do a lot for the society compared to his counterparts who have trended for all the wrong reasons for the better part of this year.

Recently Bahati released a song; STORY YANGU featuring the physically challenged musician Deno which touched the hearts of many. In the song, the two narrate about the saddening stories of their lives since childhood. But after releasing the song which is currently dominating the airwaves, Bahati took to social media to tell the world about the atrocious condition the blind artiste (Deno) has been living in despite having made a lot of cash from his song Mbona featuring Daddy Owen.

This seems to have landed Bahati in trouble, and in a recent media interview, the Machozi hit singer revealed that he had received threats because of certain remarks he made about a famous artiste, and this prompted him to go into hiding for several days at an undisclosed location. Has the Kenyan Gospel Industry lost direction?

“I have been receiving threats since then but all am saying is that my life is in God’s hands. I will always stand for the truth as that is why we are appointed into God’s ministry,”

Said the soft-spoken Bahati. Who is going to save the sinking boat? Our gospel industry is uncontrollable!
