Exactly two months ago, a road crash victim Mr Alex Madaga died after spending 18 hours in an ambulance waiting for ICU services in four hospitals because there was no available bed for him.
The four hospitals were investigated for neglect after the patient was declared dead. All this was due to the negligence and attitude of the hospital staff.
A similar thing happened at the Machakos Level 5 Hospital, where a good Samaritan had to plead with the hospital staff to attend to a hit and run victim.
According to the good Samaritan, the staff couldn't be bothered to attend to him.
