Imagine having to sit for three hours listening keenly and taking notes in class, yet you had no meal. Yaani, you are on an empty tummy. Heh, it is next to torture. Unfortunately, it happens to very many of us, especially college going students. Why? Because we assume that sitting down to take breakfast is a waste of time, and money. Actually, the opposite is true. Breakfast makes the difference between remembering what you learn in class that day, and fainting out of hunger, and weakness.

Many studies have linked eating breakfast to good health, including better memory and concentration, lower levels of bad cholesterol, and lower chances of getting diabetes, heart disease, and being overweight. See what you could be missing out on?

I learnt the trick of getting to eat my breakfast without rushing for the door. I wake up early, prepare it, and then sit down to enjoy my bowl of uji enriched with Blueband and sugar, or a cup of tea with bread with a spread of Blueband. Plus a fruit too. Think again, and start to seriously budget for your most important meal.
