Police have recommended that Pastor James Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelism face charges of causing death through dangerous driving.
The recommendations are contained in a report handed over to the Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko today morning.

The report was compiled after Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet ordered a fresh probe into the accident after public outcry that there was a plot to defeat justice.

Simon Kuria who told police that he was behind the wheel of the Ranger Rover that rammed a saloon car leading to the death of Mercy Njeri will also be charged with giving false information to the police.
A team of senior police officers led by traffic commandant Charlton Muriithi investigated the July 26 incident. Nganga has always denied the claims he was the driver of the vehicle.
