Marriage is not a Bed of Roses as most people may tend to feel or think! Kenyan gospel singer and song writer Gloria Muliro and her longtime husband Congolese preacher Eric Omba have parted ways.  Sometimes back, they had a colorful wedding at PCEA Nairobi West and later on after 5 years, they renewed their wedding vows at Hilton Hotel, Nairobi.

Despite her cheerful face, Gloria has been through alot but she always pretended that all was well until when she decided not to keep it anymore. "I always knew he was cheating on me and friends would always come around with reports but i always shut them out. Idid not want outsiders, but God to sow me the truth . In fact, besides my family and one bishop, no one else knew the hell I was going through", narrated Gloria.

In  the first month, cracks had already developed in her marriage. Her husband kept on mistreating her. He even wrote down a set of rules for her friend's o follow. " He even sent me over to a friend's place saying she would teach me how to cook and keep good hygiene only to discover that I was being turned into a house girl."

Even as her fans celebrated achievements which were supposed to turn her into a young millionaire, silence, sorrow and loneliness rocked her heart.  Eric never respected Gloria as he would harass and intimidate her in front of everyone especially at the church studio. According to one of the Spotlight Productions staff members,  Pastor Eric would bring young girls to the church in the name of clients but for days they would not record  song as they were not given studio time. Eric was having an affair with the "clients" behind Gloria back.

On the other hand, Eric blames Gloria for the break up " it is true that the joy and the union of a couple comes from babies and that is why the baby issue  has been coming up. Gloria can't give me a babies, only God can and we have been working on that. Probably if we had one, these things would not be happening."
