Kenya Harlequins player, Lyle Asiligwa, took the internet by storm. Why? He was reported "missing" by his caring girlfriend Wanjiku “Shiko” Kinyanjui. But the quick manner in which he was found had many in stitches.

Kenyans even came up with a Lyle challenge. Some of the hilarious ones are below:

But lo and behold there was more to the story than she knew. Wanjiuku spoke to the Nairobian and explained what had happened before she reported him missing. She said:

He left the house on Sunday at around 5:30 pm; he was dropping off some stuff at work,” she said, adding 'But I am happy alipatikana'.

When she reported him missing,  Asiligwa’s friend, Denise Baldo, broke the news of Lyle’s whereabouts through a text. She told the tabloid:

We were partying at our friend Eva’s in Loresho on Sunday after a ruracio in Naivasha. Asiligwa was not part of the team that went to Naivasha, but he joined us in Loresho for drinks and food on Monday. He was invited by someone in the party.

She added:

Both the bride and groom were present at the party. We were about 49 people in total including Eva, the host. Asiligwa was in good moods, he was jovial and joked a lot. I didn’t know that his phone was switched off.

The reason the bash was held at Eva's house was that she was the one staying closest To Nairobi from Naivasha. Shiko meanwhile says that she has never had about Eve the party host.

Eva herself refused to speak after she was called for comment.
