It has emerged that the secondary school candidate Anna Zambi had bought presents for her family who were to come for her prayer day but they never arrived.
Speaking during an interview with Global TV, Isabela Lyimo, Anna’s only maternal aunt said,
‘She (Anna) had bought her dad a watch, she had it imported from China using her pocket money.
She also bought a Kitenge fabric for her mom so that she could make a dress.
When we reached school she did not ask a lot of questions as the head of school had convinced her that I would pick her en-route a wedding.
So when we reached the school, she wore her graduation attire, we cut a cake and even took photos of her and her friends.’
It’s during the journey that Anna kept asking about her father’s whereabouts.
‘On the road she had so many breaks and she kept asking me to call her dad so that he could meet us along the way.’
‘WE WERE IN THE CAR WHEN WE TOLD HER THAT HER PARENTS HAD PASSED AWAY, SHE THEN ASKED TO SEE HER SIBLING.
WHEN WE TOLD HER THAT THEY HAD ALSO DIED, SHE SNAPPED AND NO ONE COULD CONTROL HER CRIES OF PAIN.’
