How To Get Pregnant, The Janet Mbugua Way

You have been feeling a bit nauseous lately, certain foods and smells repel you and some clothes feel a little small in the waist. You black out and when you wake up, a nice doctor is telling you congratulations. You're pregnant.

You can't remember who the father is. Is it Vinnie or Anto? You text them both just to be sure. None of them texts back. You don't have a job (you just cleared campus) and you're still staying with your parents (not that there is anything wrong with that). You tell your parents who were already suspicious anyway. And they tell you to go live with the father of your unborn child.

Ladies, that is NOT the way to get pregnant. If you want to get pregnant, ditch the Anto and Vinnie and do it the Janet Mbugua way.

1) Build a Brand.

Be about something. Don't just be about turning up in the clubs with Vinnie and Anto and whoever's turn it is. Get a job. Start a business. Do something that will be or build your brand. Look at Janet, our role model. She is a journalist, actress, philanthropist and blogger.

2. Market Your Brand.

Listen carefully. Don't make half-assed efforts at what you do. It doesn't matter if you're new at it, do it to perfection. Janet came into the blogging business just a few months ago. Look at her now. She has a business deal to just talk about her pregnancy! She already had jobs that were paying her really well, but now this deal could cater for her child's college education or go into a trust.

Now that is how you get pregnant. And how you make your pregnancy work for you. Not just sitting there wondering where you'll get money for maternity fees. Look at Janet and be inspired.
