George Ikua, husband to late NTV journalist Janet Kanini Ikua has told celebrities in public relationships not to end their union due to mere rumours.

He said this after Pastor Eric Omba accused ex wife Gloria Muliro of listening to outsiders rather than him.

"I dated Janet for seven years and dated eight years so we were together for 15 years. My advice is that, those who cheer you are the ones who pull you down."

Adding,

"Everyone who came to your wedding, you will notice there was a gap between the audience and the two of you and thats how a marriage should be. Everybody else should stay at the audience and if any one of you starts to listen to the audience, there is no more marriage

I refuse to think that a rumour of an affair is justification to end a marriage."

He concluded;

"To be honest marriage is not about sex."

Janet succumbed to lung cancer in 2017.

George Ikua said this during an interview with Switch TV's Tamima Ibrahim.
