Gengetone stars Mbuzi Gang take over Uganda with hot collabos

Gengetone rising stars Mbuzi gang who are known for the jit single Shamra Shamra are taking over Kampala.

The trio - Joefes, iPhoolish and Fathermoh -  is currently in Uganda for a media tour has worked on a music project with Jose Chameleone and Angela Katatumba.

"It was a great experience fusing the Kenya and Ugandan sounds to come up with a banger. We wanted to make a club banger. In the hit we were talking about peng tings, yaani the inspiration is a beautiful lady," Mbuzi Gan told Mpasho.

Joefes described working with Angela Katatumba as a "good experience, she loves our songs, she is our fan. the moment we hit the studio she was excited and the energy was awesome."

In the song, the trio unleashes new lingo like goshodo and duluguti.

He added, "I do songs with Fathermoh and sometimes I don't know what he is saying but the term goshodo and duluguti means peng babes."

What is their take on the future of Gengetone and how it is being received in Uganda?

"We are international acts the response to our music is way out of this world, Ugandans party like freaks, it is way different here."

Adding,

"We are the future of Gengetone, we are living proof that Gengetone is here to stay. it is not going anywhere, it will just evolve and it will be called something else. Gengeone is like mumbatone, it cannot die."
