Marya has shared a series of posts talking about her heartbreak after losing her unborn child.

Parents have the labor, they have the pain, the pushing but instead of the first cry of their newborn they have a piercing silence. The only cries come from them, as their child is silent and still.

When you're taught about childbirth, you hear all about labour, the pain, the pushing and the huge first cry...but for many people that isn't what childbirth looks like.

Instead of the hapiness they were assured of they have heartbreak. Instead of dreams being fulfilled, they have their future being crushed. Story of my life.

In a letter to his late daughter, Raburu wrote

WE WERE ALL WAITING FOR THE BABY BUT GOD CALLED HER HOME. MY ANGEL ADANA IS ON THE OTHER SIDE NOW LOOKING OVER US AND WE WILL DO HER PROUD. ONE DAY AT A TIME. WE WILL BE QUIET AND AWAY FOR A WHILE BUT WE WILL BE BACK.

He added,

...MY HEART HAS BEEN SHATTERED AND TORN INTO SEVERAL PIECES. THE PAIN I HAVE FELT HAS BEEN IMMEASURABLE AND ONE THAT WORDS FAIL TO APTLY CAPTURE. IT HAS LEFT ME WITH SEVERAL QUESTIONS AND LITERALLY RESET MY OUTLOOK ON LIFE. I AM THEREFORE GOING TO BE TAKING A SHORT BREAK FROM MY DUTIES ON @CITIZENTVKENYA

AND @HOT_96KENYA TO ALLOW MY WIFE AND I TO GET THROUGH THE MOTIONS. WHILE AWAY MY COLLEAGUES WILL BE HOLDING FORT, I WANT TO THANK THEM IN ADVANCE FOR HEEDING THE ABRUPT CALL TO ACTION. #10OVER10.

The couple is currently in the USA for a gateway to relax and heal.
