The family of the late Kenyan comedian Emmanuel Makori alias Ayeiya, who passed away on Friday, April 14, has revealed his funeral arrangements.

Makori, who was in the company of his wife, actor Maina Olwenya and Paul Wakimani Ogutu when he met his death, will be buried on Friday, April 21 in Nyansiongo, Nyamira County.

Family and friends will meet on Tuesday, April 18, at Six Eighty Hotel which is located along Muindi Mbingu Street from 5pm for the main fundraising ceremony.

A church service will be held at Nairobi Pentecostal Church (NPC) in Karen on Wednesday, April 19, where fans will also get a chance to pay their last respects to the comic.

The cortege will then leave Nairobi on Thursday for the burial ceremony which will be held the next day, Friday.

Ayeiya, who had garnered a legion of fans thanks to his funny jokes on Churchill Show, died after the car that they were travelling in rammed into an electricity post around 5am.

Reports indicate that the other occupants of the vehicle sustained injuiries in the crash that occurred along Magadi Road and they were rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH).
