The secret to success in life is always championed with values such as hard work, patience and determination. That sums up Emma Jalamo's journey to the top of the Ohangla music charts.

For this case, every successful person has a bitter story to tell since no one was born rich unless you work smart to achieve your well-set goals and dreams.

Based on this, we narrow down ourselves for a great man and musician Austine Odhiambo commonly known as Emma Jalamo who does Ohangala music that speaks to the sou;.

Despite his songs being sung in his vernacular, they are listened to across all the borders in Kenya.

From his backgrounds of early life, he was born in 1980 in Nairobi, Mathare slums and raised in Ugunja in Siaya county.

For him becoming a successful musician singing in the Luo dialect has not been an easy journey for , Emma Jalamo.

He joined the school at the age of 12 and didn't complete his primary education since he dropped out of school to seek out a better living for himself.

He engaged in mitumba business in his home market Ugunja but it didn't bear any fruits and therefore his destination was Ngara, Nairobi in 2000 where he hustled as a watchman.

Truly, nothing comes on a silver plate.

In his music career, Jalamo started as a Gospel musician and also a choir member to the religion of Legio Maria common in the Luo community.

Afterwards, he ditched gospel and went to specifically secular music where he became famous. While starting his secular career, he first became a vocalist for the late, lady Maureen band but he ended up leaving the band and formed his own dubbed "The Young Turks".
