According to media reports, the 'Kigeugeu' hitmaker, who was accused of killing two people along the Makutano-Sagana Highway, appeared in court without a legal representative.

Jaguar, who has maintained that he was behind the wheels his Range Rover when it hit two men who were riding on a motorcycle, was released on bond of Sh100,000.

He is expected back in court on June 8, 2017 when the case will be mentioned again.

It's alleged that a lady, whose identity has not been made public, driving the pricey vehicle at the time of the crash which occurred at 3pm on Tuesday, March 21.

However, in what looks like a failed attempt to cover up for his friend, Jaguar said he is the one who was driving the car when he arrived at the scene at 3:30 pm.

In a past interview, the talented musician said he drove nearly 100 meters from the scene before he stopped his vehicle saying it took him time to bring it to a halt.

He then rushed back to the scene only to find two people dead. It is then that Jaguar said he asked a female friend, who was with him, to go and pick the phones and lock the car.

He did so fearing that if he went on his own the angry crowd that has started gathering around would lynch him.
