Remember top Ugandan gospel artist Ambassada, who was known for his hit -song, Wototo Inkane? Well, the man of God has been in trouble with the law, for robbery.

Ambassada, whose real name is Wycliffe Wamala, was accused of being in possession of an iPad believed to have been stolen from comedian Fred Omondi Owino of Hapa Kule News TV show.

But according to him, he bought the iPad from a fellow gospel artist who was selling it on a Whatsapp group, and since he was the highest bidder, he got to buy it.

The comedian claimed that the iPad was among electronics and money that were robbed from him when he was mugged and beaten up as he was driving into his office.

According to The Star's Word Is, Ambassada can now breath easy after The Director of Public Prosecutions withdrew the charges against him though he is still not entirely out of trouble as his warrant of arrest is still in force.

Ambassada has not been going to court for the last three mentions because he claimed he was out of the country, and that’s why a warrant of arrest was issued against him.

The case will be heard on November 12 and we can only wait and see how it goes down. Read more on The Star  Meanwhile, watch one of his hit songs below.
