Esbon Machia, former The People Newspaper and Radio Citizen reporter  was last weekend found hanged at Kenol Township in Murang'a County.

The 37 year old freelance journalist in Murang'a was found dangling from a wire in lodging and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he passed on.

According to Esbon's mother, he suffered depression and bouts of hallucination before taking his life. He'll be laid to rest at his parent’s home in Githunguri village, Kandara in Murang’a county this Thursday and leaves behind his wife and a one and a half year-old daughter.
