Form four candidates go on rampage protesting hair cut

Close to 256 form four candidates from Makueni Boys went on rampage on Friday night and destroyed the property of unknown value.

According to County Police Commander Joseph Ole Naipeyan the candidates protested for being asked to shave their hair and at around 8.45 pm they started throwing stones, breaking window panes and destroying other school property.

In the ensuing melee, the principal, Raphael Diwani was hit on the head and sustained an injury when he tried to calm down the rowdy boys.

"He was taken to the Makueni County Referral Hospital where he was treated and discharged, “said Ole Naipeyan.

The county police commander said police were called in to quell the situation awaiting further directions from the school management adding no student was injured.
