Joe Kariuki is among the few famous city millionaires who have managed to stay in the competitive industry for long. Many come and go, the likes of Stanley Livondo but the former Candy n Candy has remained to become one of the most sought after personalities. Joe Kariuki has always been on the fore front to help the youths from music to business. He has won the hearts of many.

Ever since he declared his interest in Lang'ata Constituency parliamentary seat, has been working tirelessly with the residents of "his' constituency. Joe Kariuki started a youth group Youth dubbed “Langa’ta People’s Centre” (LPC) which aims to empower the youth to improve their trading skills and so far, it's doing well.

Kenya being a home of talent, Joe Kariuki has decided to do more for the youth and this time round, he has organised a football tournament Mtaani Konnect Cup which will see more than 100 football teams from Nairobi and its environs compete for the cup that was donated by President Uhuru Kenyatta. The tournament will consist of seven players per team (seven a side).

The tournament which will take place on 15th to 16th of this month, in Lang’ata constituency is to help youth to interact, put aside ethnic difference and give them an opportunity to showcase their talents. This is going to be the first ever 7's aside team to take place in Nairobi.
