Today 4th January marks exactly one year since Makarios Fidel Castro Odinga, the eldest son of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga passed on under mysterious circumstances. One year on, and the Odingas are yet to come to terms with Fidel's death; it all seems like a bad dream to them.

In a recent media interview, Ida Odinga the mother of late said that although she still can't believe that Fidel Odinga is no more, she is happy that at least he left behind a son (his photocopy) Allay Odinga, who reminds them of their late hero.

Through the family's official website, Raila Odinga penned down an emotional letter to the late Fidel, thanking all those who stood with them during the difficult moment.
