Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonkois currently in court over his bail ruling at Milimani law Court.

He was taken to court in an ambulance. His two lawyers Miller and Murkomen were in court to defend him.

Miller says Sonko has been receiving treatment from KNH, adding that he was admitted on December 9, 2019, and was being managed for uncontrolled hypertension.

Miller then produced letters he says that Sonko is supposed to be in the hospital at the moment.

He continued that “Sonko insisted that he had to appear in court this morning despite his ailment. He is here contrary to doctors instructions.”

Miller also confirmed that Sonko was on a drip.

Murkomen added that Sonko even passed out in the morning before being brought to court.

Court orders sonko to process cash bail and be released immediately or physician in consultation with those at prison have him admitted to hospital outside Kamiti Prison if need be.

The case will be mentioned 15 January, 2020.
