Do you remember the Kisii county MCA who was hauled to court for allegedly saying that President Uhuru Kenyatta smoked weed? I hope you do, and if not, read it below.

On August 28, 2013 at Kerera village in Kisii, Kiogoro ward representative Samuel Onkwani, a laboratory technologist turned politician, was arrested for allegedly insinuating that President Uhuru was a smoker of the illegal substance which causes people to hallucinate.

"People close to Uhuru should advise him to stop smoking bhang," Onkwani allegedly stated at a church function.

The prosecution told court that Onkwani, 39, thereby undermined the authority of President Kenyatta.

Today, Onkwani finally met with President Uhuru, where it has been reported that he was forgiven for his alleged reckless utterances. Uhuru was speaking when he and DP William Ruto met MCAs from Kisii and Nyamira counties at State House in Nairobi this morning.
