Murder suspect Joseph 'Jowie' Irungu is a happy man.
After spending two Christmases in two different prisons; Kamiti Maximum Prison and Manyani Prison.
Jowie's stint in prison was hard.
Joe Muchiri, Jowie's best friend visited Jowie at the Kamiti present and said that it's one hell of a place on earth. He tweeted;
Kamiti is not a joke.
Jowie, in his earlier bail application in November 2019, told the court,
You honor it has been 431 days. It's not easy and I'm yet to be proven guilty.
SO I WAS ASKING FOR THAT OPPORTUNITY,' he said.
Jowie added that,
My second accused (Jacque Maribe) was granted bail and she never absconded court. I deserve the same.
Today, he was granted a cash bail of Ksh 2m by Justice James Wakianga.
