Being someone who listens to secular music a lot, it's almost impossible to know some of the new artistes in the gospel industry.

I had the privilege to attend the Safaricom Groove Tour, which took place yesterday at Karatina Stadium, and I have to say I was impressed! (Check out the photo gallery below).

I was looking forward to seeing the A-listers rocking the crowds, but I was surprised when Recapp; a four-member gospel group got on stage. Emmanuel Mwongela, Nelly Tuikong, Edward Obura and Tedd Askoye are on the way to becoming the biggest gospel group in Kenya.

I also found out that Emmanuel is a songwriter, rapper, singer and guitarist. Nelly plays the guitar, sings and writes songs. Edward, on the other hand, is an outstanding rapper and songwriter. Tedd is a spoken word artist, singer, a beatboxer and also plays the clarinet. This makes an awesome team.

The group was formed in 2012 and so far they have three music videos, and an 8 song EP titled Proud To Be A Christian. They've also been nominated for the 2015 Groove Awards, under the New Artiste/Group category.

Listen to some of their tracks below and if you like them, SMS 'groove 4g' and 'groove 8e' to 811 to vote for them and let me know what you think;
