Enzo Ferrari will be remembered for ages to come. Not because he created a great Formula team(although that is memorable) but the great marquee, Ferrari.
The company was created because Enzo wanted to finance his Formula One team. Yes, without his passion for racing, the team would not have come to be. The company that grew in leaps and bounds was founded 1939 and was a premier car manufacturer when Enzo passed on in 14 August 1988.
The company decided to remember the man with a car that would honour him and the car that made the cut was the Ferrari Enzo. How imaginative!
Production began in 2003. In 2004, the 400th production car was built and donated to the Vatican for charity, which was later sold at a Sotheby's auction for US$1.1 million (or 110,979,000 shillings).
Talk about a car worth having!
