Just weeks after being laid to rest at his home in Gikondi village, the race to succeed him has already began.

One of those who've expressed interest to supersede the Kabete MP who was murdered is former Embakasi legislator Ferdinand Waititu. The former MP is said to have made the decision after several discussions with grass-root leaders from Kabete Constituency.

Yes, it's true that I am considering joining the race. I have been meeting various delegations and I am holding consultations within my party and family and a decision will be announced soon. - Waititu told Standard Newspaper
